The Parker County Appraisal District website is another great online resource for our community. In addition to the typical usage of managing your own account, there are some other ways that I have found it helpful. Have you ever been out driving and notice a property that appears to be abandoned but it doesn’t appear to be on the market for sale yet? You can use the appraisal district site to search for that property and find the mailing address for the owner if you’d like to inquire about the possibility of buying it. Here’s another good use – have a neighbor that plays their music really loud late at night? Do they have dogs that they let roam free? Tried talking to them to no avail? If they happen to be renters, rather than property owners, you can find out the owners information on the appraisal district website and send them a letter with your concerns. Sometimes landlords are unaware of issues being caused by their tenants. If you give them a heads up, you might get the problem corrected.
